Our inspiration behind the Thomas Crossing 45+ development was the perfect location and the stunning views of Mt. Cheam. Mt Cheam is one of Chilliwack most recognizable mountains, not only for its beauty, but also the hiking trails it provides active enthusiasts. Just steps out your back door enjoy a snow capped picturesque mountain view in Winter and come Spring, we hope Mt. Cheam will inspire you to maintain a healthy hiking lifestyle. Your brand new home at Thomas Crossing has ceiling to floor windows so you can take it all in.
For those seeking an active lifestyle, Cheam is one of the most popular hikes in the Chilliwack area and for good reason; the entire hike offers gorgeous views and amazing wildflowers during Spring and Summer. Hiking through spectacular subalpine meadows in the summer months, the average round trip hike takes approximately 4.5 hours or 9.5 km.

Cheam peak or Mount Cheam comes from the sto:lo First Nations people. The halqemeylem name for the mountain is Lhílheqey, the mountain comes with a beautiful story past down through generations.

The summit offers views of the Fraser valley, Cheam range, and North cascades to the south. Lady peak is also accessible via the Mount Cheam trail which starts about half way up it.
With stunning colours and vibrant changes in Autumn, it also makes for an equally beautiful adventure.

The trailhead to Mount Cheam is accessible through Chipmunk camping area up Chilliwack lake road, on a decommissioned logging road. 4 wheel drive with high clearance is definitely recommended. From your home at Thomas Crossing it would take about 1.5-2 hours to the trailhead.
Mount Cheam is a beautiful hike with great rewards!
