Thomas Park – walk out your front door and across the street is a multi purpose green space. With a picnic area, tennis courts, basketball court, playground and sports fields.
Manuel Park – with walking trails, a meandering creek and water features this park is home to wildlife and is a perfect place to spend an afternoon or a morning walk away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
Sardis Park – A 5 acre park with a 655 meter outer looping trail allows the visitors to take in some of the wonderful views and vistas as they participate in outdoor activities. Home to the seasonal Eco Market throughout the warm season. Home to wild life including a resident beaver and returning geese and of course song birds.
Legacy Trail – The Canadian Forces base has played a strong role in the development of Garrison and area. This trail is a nod to the men and women that lived and worked at the former base prior to it’s closure in 1995 and redevelopment. Meandering through Garrison Crossing and The Canadian Educational Park and terminating at the Vedder River Rotary Trail this trail provides a unique interpretive trail experience as well as access for bicycles.
Vedder River Rotary Trail – Running, biking, walking and even horseback riding this trail was a joint venture with Rotary Club of Chilliwack. Running along 8km of the Vedder River this trail is not only known for its unsurpassed scenery but great access to the Vedder River. During the summer you will find groups lounging in small pools on the river or floating down stream. An anglers paradise this area is notable for world renowned steelhead fishing. Benches for sitting and taking a break, picnic tables for leisurely days and an interpretive option for those wishing to learn more about the trail and area as they walk.
Other notable trails that might be of interest is the Vedder Greenway trail, with over 30km of inter-connecting trails this is a great one for bikes and running. Connecting is the Vedder South Trail that has been developed to loop into the Vedder Greenway Trail.
